2026 Programme
Haworth is truly enchanting at Christmas. Every business, from independent bars and restaurants to the ecclectic array of shops, pulls out all the stops to dress up their interiors and shop windows with beautiful wintry displays and their buildings with a sparkling Christmas tree.
While open all week, you might want to save your visit for one of the weekends in December, when residents, organisations and businesses host a full programme of activities, events and celebrations.
Pick up your copy of the 2026 Christmas in Haworth Events Programme from any of the businesses in Main Street or save these images to your phone for quick reference. More detailed weekly events listings will also be available nearer the time, so follow our socials.

NB: While every effort is made to ensure events are held as advertised, sometimes the weather impedes public safety. In instances where adverse weather causes rescheduling, postponement or cancellation of events hosted as part of Christmas in Haworth, we will endeavour to post relevant notifications to our social media pages, so please be sure to follow these and check each event's current status before setting off.

Nativity Parade

The annual Nativity Parade on Main Street is a heartwarming, wholesome and entertaining family event held on both days of the last weekend before Christmas.
We love the sounds of Golcar Brass Band mixed with voices across the generations as we join in with well known Christmas Carols.
See Joseph try his hardest to find a bed for the night at all the inns we pass and hear the Christmas story brought to life; told by two of our favourite holy men; the Rev. Oli Preston and Rev. Chris Upton
Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th December 2026 - meet at 2pm at the Christmas Tree right at the bottom of Main Street.
Many thanks to local photographer John Sargent for these beautiful shots of the 2025 Nativity Parade.

Torchlight Procession
Starting at the bottom of Main Street, we gather to sing carols under the Christmas Tree.
This exhilarating event draws large crowds; walking with the procession, singing carols at several waypoints up the street or picking a good spot to watch from the sidelines.

Treat yourself to one of our gorgeous illuminated, handcrafted willow wands and add to the delightful ambiance of flickering flames and twinkling Christmas lights.
Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of December 2026, meet at the bottom of Main Street - 4:30pm

'Tis the Season
There's lots of activities and events happening in and around Haworth during the festive season.
Local churches, including St. Michael and All Angels at the top of Main Street, will be celebrating advent with christingle and communion services and a joyful welcome for the local community and visitors alike.
Climb aboard the heritage steam Elf Express train or enjoy a moving, (locomotive and emotive), professional theatre performance with the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
In 2025, the Brontë Parsonage Museum opened in the evenings of Late Night Shopping to give visitors a unique candlelit experience of the former home of celebrated literary trio Charlotte, Anne and Emily Brontë.
Follow on social media for their 2026 Christmas/WInter events.
